Chameleon
Updated: 09/19/2012
Is this chameleon for real? Controversy rages over whether the incredibly quick-changing chameleon in this Ray-Ban commercial is genuine. In the space of several minutes, the pint-sized camouflage artist clambers over an obstacle course of green, pink and black sunglasses, slipping effortlessly between colors. (Towards the end of the clip, he displays three hues at once, like some weird brand of Neapolitan ice cream.)
Chameleons in the wild don’t change color this fast – so there’s probably some movie magic going on here. However, there’s nothing fake about the most versatile color-changing expert of all: cancer insurance.
A cancer insurance policy covers all the “colors” of cancer effortlessly. Whether it’s yellow for bladder cancer, grey for a brain tumor, red for lymphoma, white for lung cancer or periwinkle blue for cancer of the esophagus, a supplemental cancer policy can provide a lump sum benefit on first diagnosis. A supplemental insurance policy usually covers most varieties of invasive internal cancer, plus malignant melanoma – there’s really no color of ribbon this chameleon can’t handle.
Supplemental insurance is adaptable in more ways than one. Normal health insurance policies don’t cover many cancer-related expenses (deductibles, co-pays, and extensive surgery or chemo treatments, for starters), and often have strict insurance caps and restrictions on what they will and will not pay for. But cancer insurance plans give you a whole spectrum of options: on first diagnosis of a covered cancer, you receive a lump sum benefit check to use for whatever you want. Yes, whatever means “whatever.” If you opt to spend your benefit money for medical costs like surgery, co-pays or radiation, go for it. If you need that check to buy groceries, pay the rent or deal with your mortgage, that’s what it’s there for. You don’t even have to spend the money on necessities. Want to experience Paris for the first time? Take your kids to Disneyworld? It’s completely up to you.
Plus, the wide variety of available supplemental insurance plans ensures that you can find one that “blends in” with your budget. For a young non-smoker, your monthly premium payment for a $5,000 benefit plan might cost under $20. If you have different needs, you can choose a more extensive policy to fit your lifestyle. With cancer insurance, one size does not fit all. You can tailor a plan to fit your unique circumstances, and know that if you end up with cancer, you’ll get the benefits.
Best of all, if you think you might be at risk for any “color” of cancer, a supplemental cancer policy is literally a click away. CancerPlans.com offers a convenient, one-stop online platform where you can check out top-rated insurance carriers, get free quotes from up to 10 companies at once, and apply for a policy right away. Taking out a cancer insurance policy now could save your life down the road…and that’s a change you really need to make.
